A lovely ‘value’ purchase from Day 2 of the Tatt’s Horses in Training Sale is PALACE GREEN, a staying son of Sea The Moon. His only win came on the synthetic at Kempton Park, however his two subsequent runs to that on top of the ground rated extremely well, after which he appears to have trained off/not handled wet tracks. If you take his first three runs post-gelding in isolation – an impressive Maiden win and two unlucky runs at York and Royal Ascot he’s a very expensive/high profile horse and far above our budget.
