The Inglis Premier Sale was one of the more competitive sales of the year. The top of the market has been strong throughout but the middle market at Premier really held up.

We thought that price was extremely good value considering she is by a young stallion who is continuing to perform and the dam is a proven producer.

Luck was on our side as Lot 453 went through the ring on Monday around lunchtime. Convinced this filly was going to make too much money for our budget, Jeremy Rogers our bloodstock agent beat Rob to the lunch buffet provided by Inglis and proceeded to fill his plate pyramid style to ensure he got full value for money (despite it being complimentary).
While returning to his table he noticed Lot 453 leaving the sales ring and she was passed in for $40k. Jeremy shook Steve and Rob and said we need to go and check the vet report again, this filly just passed in and I loved her. The two scampered to the vendor, checking the vet report along the way, Steve even ringing our vet ensuring she was spot on to ensure a strong negotiation.
