2026 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale Purchase

Horse Overview

There’s not really a sire in Australia right now going any better than Ghaiyyath, who from limited numbers is producing superstars all over the place. Aside from the obvious in Observer, who won the Australian Guineas on Saturday and is probably the benchmark 3yo in the country, he’s got a swag of progressive young horses the like of our very own Different Gravy, as well as stakes winning fillies Yum and Freedom Flame.

This colt is bred on a very similar cross to Observer, being out of a granddaughter of Lonhro in Status Quo. Our colt is from a terrific old Woodlands Stud family featuring stakes-winners like Crawl, Old Man, Marching, Gait, Exploring and successful sire Trapeze Artist.

A lovely, athletic, correct colt, he’s not as heavy as some of the Ghaiyyath’s can be and had great length and scope to him. He’s a beautiful mover and looks every bit the quality 3yo, capable of graduation to 2000m and beyond. The mare’s as yet unnamed 2yo made $140k at this sale last year, a full brother to this colt, and has jumped out impressively twice prior to being tipped out and given more time.

Shares are available in this colt at $17,468 per 10% inclusive of purchase price, GST, race series nomination, insurance, vetting and sales commission.
