Can Alligator Blood remain undefeated to Win the Guineas?
Sunshine Coast trainer David Vandyke will be looking to take the Caulfield Guineas trophy home to QLD with his horse Alligator blood tomorrow.
After going relatively under the radar he made his presents know winning the Guinease Prelude after being scratched as Rosehill last month. The horse remaining undefeated in 5 starts is sure to attract international interest, especially if he can win the Group 1 tomorrow.
The race know for making stallions, even though he is a gelding, past winners include The Autumn Sun, Helmet, Press Statement and the father of Alligator Blood, All too Hard. After beating off the favourite Dalasan in the prelude he will be looking to do that again out of barrier 13 with Ryan Maloney aboard.
David is hoping he can replicate his fathers win in the 2012 Guineas saying “I cant wait until we get out to the mile and do what his dad did.”
