Horse Overview
Latest Update- 11th August
Spelling at Fernhill and will return to pre-training on the 17th August. The filly is fully educated and will have her first 2YO racing campaign.
Monarch Racing Syndications is delighted to present a LADIES ONLY elegant, free flowing filly, by New Zealand’s emerging young sire & Group 1 producing Cool Aza Beel. A fast 2yo son of Champion Savabeel. To be trained by Richard Litt, Warwick Farm, NSW. She is a quality smart investment we highly recommend. She is a BOBS Nominated, Magic Millions and Magic Millions Women In Racing eligible.
She presents a fantastic opportunity for women to join in racehorse ownership and one that should not be missed.
SIRE: COOL AZA BEEL
One of the best two-year-olds sired by the ten-time Champion New Zealand sire Savabeel – the most successful son of the great Zabeel – Cool Aza Beel created a big impression in a short time winning four of his six starts. His Gr.1 W.S Cox Plate winning sire has been represented by 152 stakes winners, 35 of whom are Gr.1 horses.
DAM: BELLA VINO
A Perth Magic Millions $155,000 yearling, Bella Vino was close up in her three two-year-old starts in town and as a spring three-year-old she was in great form winning over sprinting trips at Hawkesbury and Kembla Grange (twice).
Also twice finishing a game runner-up in BM70 contests at Moonee Valley, Bella Vino has had two placegetters amongst her first two named foals including the Hong Kong based Run Yes Run.
PEDIGREE ANALYSIS
Tapping into the influence of the family of a well related stallion is a proven method of line-breeding and in the case of Cool Aza Beel this is already working with his first Group winner Cool Aza Rene being out of a mare with a strain of Centaine.
That high class son of Century is Bella Vino’s second dam sire – and Centaine is a descendant of the lovely mare Rain Mist (whose dam Rainbird won the Melbourne Cup) as is Cool Aza Beel.
As a bonus Centaine has the champion Todman as his second dam sire – and Savabeel picks up well on further Todman strains, noting that his grandam has Todman as well as outstanding full brother Noholme.
Savabeel and Centaine have always combined extremely well – 38 stakes winners, nine Gr.1 horses including I Wish I Win, Probabeel and Mo’Unga. Savebeel loves Pins strains too – five Gr.1 winners amongst 24 stakes winners.
This filly has more in common with Cool Aza Rene, both horses also line-bred to the great sprinter Vain as is Cool Aza Beel’s promising 3Y0 Fleeting Star – a recent Gr.2 runner-up.
Cool Aza Beel already has three stakes placed performers out of mares with Danehill – sire of Exceed And Excel. Cool Aza Beel’s fourth dam sire Whiskey Road is a grandson of the wonderful mare Flower Bowl whose son His Majesty is Danehill’s dam sire.
And Flower Bowl is a truly outstanding line-breeding force; Danehill and Whiskey Road coming together in the pedigrees of 75 stakes winners; 13 Gr.1 horses including the star mare Verry Elleegant.
