Monarch Racing is proud to present this stunning classics filly by Group One winning son of Savabeel, Noverre. This royally bred New Zealand born filly is a very exciting middle distance, classics prospect. She carries very strong traits of Zabeel and Singspiel and from the same family as stakes winners PAVLOVA, FUBU and Derby Winner JOHNNY GET ANGRY. She is a genuine Oaks prospect. Purposely selected by Paul Moroney & Catheryne Bruggeman, selectors of 56 Group One winners & 360 + Stakes winners. She is pure class and a must have for racing purest looking to target classic style racing. INGLIS Race series nominated, to be trained by multiple Group One winning trainer Richard Litt at Warwick Farm.
SIRE: NOVERRE
A particularly good looking son of the New Zealand star stallion Savabeel (W.S Cox Plate winning sire of 155 stakes winners including 35 Gr.1 horses), Noverre – whose dam Magic Dancer won at Gr.3 level at two – was purchased at Karaka for $800,000. Showing plenty of toe at the trials prior to a close second off an awkward start behind the subsequent Gr.1 winner Bonny Lass at his Matamata debut, Noverre was quickly into winning form. An odds-on favourite at Wanganui at his second start, the exciting youngster was an easy winner, given a bit of time to mature; blowing the start at his next outing but able to find good form in the spring with consecutive wins in the Gr.3 War Decree Stakes and the Gr.1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas. Overcoming trouble in running to win that Classic by nearly three lengths, Noverre impressed his rider Opie Bossom who described him as “a class animal with a powerful finish”and by trainer Jamie Richards as “a pretty special colt.” Retired to Waikato Stud after injury brought an early end to his racing career, Noverre has proven popular at each of his four years at stud – achieving the rare feat of increasing book sizes at each of his first three seasons; suggesting that breeders were impressed by what they were seeing! Sales results have certainly been good for Noverre who looks set to join Cool Aza Beel and Embellish as sons of Savabeel to sire stakes winners.
DAM: DWELT
A maiden winner over 1100m from just seven starts, the still young (nine) Dwelt has the lightly raced and promising three-year-old Ayumi as her first foal – that New Zealand based filly in the placings at two of her first four starts. Dwelt is a daughter of the European Champion Sprinter Dream Ahead, five time (from nine starts) Gr.1 winning successful sire of 36 stakes winners including the Gr.1 gallopers Glass Slippers, Dream Of Dreams, Donjuan Triumphant and Al Wukair. Dream Ahead’s daughters are faring nicely at stud, already producing 11 stakes winners (amongst the first 160 winners) including the Gr.1 winner Poptronic.
PEDIGREE ANALYSIS
A gender balanced (appearing through a son and a daughter) 3 X 3 cross of Zabeel is a highlight of this filly’s pedigree, noting that the great stallion is duplicated in the pedigrees of 19 stakes winners including the Gr.1 gallopers Aeliana, Strictly Business, La Dorada, Maison Louis, Femminile, Pinot and Pierata. Both of this filly’s parents are line-bred to the great mare Special via the 3/4 brothers Sadler’s Wells and Nureyev and she also boasts duplications of Northern Dancer, Green Desert and Star Appeal. There is also female strength to his pedigree with a 6 X 6 cross of the Gr.3 winning successful broodmare L’Anguissola – the grandam of Noverre’s influential second dam sire Desert Sun (sire of Sunline, dam sire of Black Caviar and Nature Strip) and of the multiple Gr.1 winning sprinter Cadeaux Genereux – dam sire of Dream Ahead. L’Anguissola hails from the same outstanding Queen Mary family as Rip Van Winkle, the multiple Gr.1 winning dam sire of Noverre. Other fine mares duplicated in the background include Prunella, Almahmoud, Alveole and Black Ray.
