Take a look at this strong, athletic Magic Millions colt. Not only does he bear an uncanny resemblance to his sire, STAR TURN, but he’s also a near replica of his broodmare sire, SHOW A HEART. This colt is proof of genetics at its finest, and we’re confident that our bloodstock maestro, John Price, has once again uncovered a gem for us.

THE SIRE: STAR TURN
A stakes-winning sprinter who competed at the highest level, Star Turn is one of the most reliable stallions in Australia. With an incredible 74% winners-to-runners strike rate last season, his record speaks for itself. Already the sire of 21 stakes horses (from just 4 crops to race) including the Group 1 winner STARTANTES and the Group 1-placed and multiple stakes winner Alsephina, Star Turn is a stallion synonymous with quality.

THE DAM: RARE FRAGRANCE
A proven performer on the track, Rare Fragrance is a city-winning mare with a pedigree steeped in class. Her pedigree includes elite runners like DANENDRI (dual G1 winner and champion 3YO filly), FAINT PERFUME (dual G1 winner and champion 3YO filly), and GOOD IDEA (G2 Adelaide Cup winner). At stud, Rare Fragrance has produced 3 winners from 4 to race, including the stakes-placed Keenan.

THE BROODMARE SIRE: SHOW A HEART
A true legend, Show A Heart is one of Queensland’s most celebrated sires. As a racehorse, he achieved the rare feat of winning Group 1 races at ages two, three, and four—an accomplishment only matched this century by the superstar Anamoe. At stud, Show A Heart has left an indelible mark, producing champions like the winners of the Oakleigh Plate, Australian Guineas, and Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Selected by John Price, from Book 2 at the 2025 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, this colt ticks all the boxes for us. With his outstanding pedigree, striking physique, and in our opinion, exceptional value, he’s an exciting horse to buy into. We’re keeping him in Queensland, where he’ll be trained by one of our favourite trainers, Grant Allard.
