Racing on Saturday at Eagle Farm may have unearthed the next headline act for the Sport of Kings. Incentivise, originally bred, owned & trained by Steve Tregea, made a mess of his rivals in the Tatterstall’s Cup (2400m). Ridden by Anthony Allen, Incentivise looked to be doing it effortlessly as Allen gave the son of Shamus Award a bit more reign at the top of the straight and extended his margin to 12 lengths at the finish. This took his combined winning margin from his last 3 starts to a whopping 30.5 lengths.
It has been well publicised recently that the new Caulfield and Melbourne Cups favourite will be heading south to the Pakenham stables of Peter Moody for a tilt at some of the big races in the spring. And from what we saw on Saturday he will be extremely hard to beat in anything he lines up in.
