2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale Purchase.

We’re excited to bring home our target yearling from a competitive Magic Millions sale at the Gold Coast this year. A daughter of champion sprinter Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible x Sansadee), this well-related filly has Group-1 success littered through her pedigree on both the sire and dam side of the family. Brazen Beau was Australia’s Champion colt in his three-year-old season, winning two Group-1 races, including a dominant Newmarket Handicap win over the likes of Chautauqua and Lankan Rupee. At stud, his progeny include New Zealand Group-1 winner On The Bubbles, and a host of Australian Stakes winners, with the likes of General Beau, Pretty Brazen and Zapateo filling the honour roll.

Her dam, Jesting (Commands x Joking Apart), is closely related to Jood, a Nijinsky mare who produced the 2001 European Horse of the Year and multiple Group-1 winning champion Fantastic Light. A daughter of Commands, Jesting has had three foals to race – all winners – including eight-time winner Newhart, who defeated Mandela Effect in the 2021 Mowbray Stakes. We’re confident that joining with a quality sire in Brazen Beau is an upgrade on her past seasons, and we will see proof of that with this filly.

Eligible for all VOBIS races and bonuses, we expect this filly to be up and going and competing in good races in her two-year-old season. At $140,000, we couldn’t be happier to purchase this yearling and look forward to getting her back to Ballarat.
