Well Bred Yearling Colt Who Is A 3/4 Brother To Profit

Viva Racing secured a top-quality colt at the recent Inglis Classic sale in Sydney, Castelvecchio x Opportunity.

The colt is a strong and well put together type who has the physical traits to sprint in his 2-year-old years, before getting out over further ground as a 3-year-old.

He comes from a terrific family with Dam Opportunity by Champion stallion Redoute’s Choice. Opportunity was a talented mare winning the Listed Schweppervescence Stakes by over 3 lengths at only her second start, before an unlucky 4th in the Group 1 Blue Diamond.

At stud, she has been a terrific mare producing a total of three stakes performers in Profit, Rifelman and Geromayo.

Our colt is very much in the same mould as 3/4 brother Profit with the physical attributes and pedigree to develop into a horse that may target a Derby in his 3 year old years.

Colt will be trained by leading horseman Matthew Dunn at Murwillumbah.
