We were thrilled to secure a colt by the first season sire Ghaiyyath. Following hot on the heels of Too Darn Hot he is another son of the stallion maker Dubawi to head over to stand for Darley in Australia. You simply have to get in on the ground with these sons of Dubawi before you get priced out of the market.

Ghaiyyath was a sensational racehorse in the Northern Hemisphere. He was an eight time Group winner at two, three, four and five. He was crowned the Horse of the Year and World Champion following four G1 Victories by a combined winning margin of 21 3/4 lengths. The highest rated son of arguably the best stallion in English history, his progeny have fetched up to $1.1 million as foals and averaged 264,667 gns at the 2023 Tattersalls yearling sales.

We tasked John Price to find us a smart yearling by the stallion and this cracking bay colt was the result . A September foal he has all the attributes of his father, he is an athletic free moving colt that looks like he could race at two with the scope to keep improving with age. His pedigree suggests he will be at his optimum as he gets to a mile and beyond and he can attack the staying division of Australian racing which is traditionally the weakest. Plenty of speed down the female line which should add the sharpness to see him racing at two. The dam , Ramatuelle was a three time winner herself , she showed great versatility to win from 1100m up to 1500m. It’s deep black type family and goes back to Royal Herione who was the champion turf female in the USA.

He heads to Jason Warren who was with John Price when the hammer fell for $40,000 and wouldn’t leave until the horse was heading to his Mornington stable. Jason is a Group 1 winning trainer who has had excellent success for the Grand team and this colt presents him another opportunity to see plenty of you in the winners enclosure.
