Japan’s HORSE OF THE YEAR, six-time Group 1 winner and $12 million earner is one of the all-time great racehorses to grace the turf in Asia. Maurice is now the sire of (currently) FIVE GROUP 1 winners, 25 Stakes winners and 58 Stakes performers. His progeny includes triple Australian Classic Winner … HITOTSU and sensational sprinter MAZU.

In 2022/23 Maurice was Australia’s Champion third-season sire and among the top dozen active Australian Sires with $10.7 Million and 11 stakes performers headed by Group winning 3-year-olds BANK MAUR and KIBOU, Listed winner & Queensland Oaks Group 1 placegetter NOAH “N” A DEEL and 2-year-old Listed winners AZULA & NAMESAKE, as well as MAZU, winner of the SYDNEY SPRINT SERIES and third in the EVEREST and T.J. Smith Stakes Group 1.

Snitzel now a proven broodmare sire is also the sire of the dam Sunlit which has produced this year’s MILLENNIUM winner FULLY LIT. Oceanway is a three-quarter-sister to BENETEAU, winner of the Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Prelude Group race.

This filly is bred with speed on top of speed.
The DEEP FIELD cross with a SNITZEL mare is mouthwatering in what speed is embedded in the breed.

She is closely related to BENETAU and ALINGHI – Champion 3-year-old filly in Australia in 2004-2005.

SNITZEL sire of OCEANWAY has already proven himself as a broodmare sire and the mating with Maurice will be an upgrade on this filly.

At present, this fillies family is an exceptional winning family with 15 RUNNERS FOR 14 WINNERS. So, it is proven that the family can produce winners only to be enhanced by the mating of MAURICE.

This filly is very athletic in build and extremely light on her feet. She looks like a runner.

With this filly’s outstanding bloodlines and pedigree, she comes with particularly good residual value prospects after her racing career which is a bonus.
