After countless hours of watching breeze up footage, and inspecting 2yo’s, I can proudly say that we have found an exceptional Ready To Run horse that represents great value and loads of quality.

This horse on offer below passed our highly strict criteria. She possess all of the qualities that can make a racehorse great.

ACTION – I was extremely strict and picky when watching the breeze ups. Horses to make my shortlist must have displayed a very good action. I look for a fluent, efficient action with a good length of stride, whilst running comfortably in good time respective to their pedigree (sprinter or stayer).

PHYSICALITY – Most importantly, the horse must be an athlete! It must have good conformation, well proportioned, well balanced, straight legs, good angles, good knees and hocks, everything working in unison together like clockwork.

ATTITUDE – A willing horse will take you a long way. Having the ability is part of the challenge. A horse’s attitude will bring the best out of it.

VETTING – We only purchase horses who pass our strict vetting criteria, scoping, x-rays and a clinical examination. The horse must present as low risk by our world leading vet Dr Chris Lawler.

VALUE – It’s not hard to find a nice racehorse. The obvious ones stand out, and most of them will make far more money that what I would value them at. Finding a racehorse that ticks all of the boxes and still represents good value is not so easy. I like to offer value together with quality.

This horse below represent these traits perfectly, which is why I can offer her to you with confidence.

Mongolian Khan x bonnie Doon (NZ)
– CLASSIC STAYER TYPE
– CHAMPION BLOODLINE
– AMAZING ACTION

On offer is this outstanding filly by Champion racehorse Mongolian Khan. This filly who is the half-sister of GLOBE, showed all the signs of a great staying type, running a good time of 10.74 while demonstrating an excellent action that is necessary in top staying performers. This filly was purchased at a great value in a competitive sale, and this value is reflected in her share price of $3,250 per 2.5%.

Mongolian Khan was a staying powerhouse on the race track. He was the New Zealand horse of the year in both 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, the New Zealand Champion 3YO in 2014-2015 and was crowned New Zealand’s Champion Stayer in the 2014-2015 season. Mongolian Khan had an outstanding career on the track with 6 stakes performances including three Group 1 wins and two Group 2 wins. Mongolian Khan won the Australian Derby, the New Zealand Derby and the Caulfield Cup – The only horse ever to win all 3 races.

This filly is the fifth foal out of the unraced dam Bonnie Doon (NZ), who also produced the exciting up and coming half-brother to our filly GLOBE (NZ). Globe has won 4 races from his first 4 starts, with a genuine excuse of heart arrythmia on his 5th start. Globe will bounce back from this well and has demonstrated that he is highly likely to be a group winner in the near future, which would greatly increase this filly’s value. For this reason especially we are excited to pair this filly up with the trainers of her half-brother Globe, world class trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr.

David and Mick Price believe that this filly has all the necessary qualities of a great stayer. Along with her great pedigree, this filly backs it up with her nice shape, good balance, clean hocks and her great stayer’s action which is exactly what we look for when buying in New Zealand.

Leading trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr. will train this horse from their multiple Group 1 winning stables in Cranbourne. This cracking filly will have no better chance at her career on the track than with them

The filly passed all vet inspections from Dr Chris Lawler as LOW RISK. Clean x-rays, clean scope, and clinically sound and in perfect health.

Her pedigree, conformation and breeze up suggest that she may be effective as classic stayer type. All signs lead to a successful racing career.
