Horse Overview

We have recently been exploring the NZ market for unexposed horses that are ready to go and having had great success with several purchases of late, we were quick to snap up Far From A Cry who is an unraced 3yo filly by Mongolian Khan. She was sourced by bloodstock agent Phil Cataldo, who has been responsible for all our recent NZ purchases, and like those, she will race in partnership with OTI Racing.

She has had one trial, the form of which has turned out to be very strong.

Far From a Cry Trial

“I really liked the way this filly went at her one trial. She showed good gate speed, was wide and working entire trip without cover yet kept finding the line. She showed good stretch when galloping.

I like horses that show natural speed and are bred to get over ground. She is a quality individual, has presence, scope and an athletic shape. Obviously just turning 3yo is the perfect age. Hopefully she will be running in an Oaks in the Autumn for us.”
