2024 Magic Millions Qtis Yearling Sale

Flying Start Syndications have continued an action packed start to 2024 at the QTIS Magic Millions sale on the Gold Coast securing this eye catching colt by exciting young sire NORTH PACIFIC.

We headed to the Gold Coast with the intention to buy one or two standout QTIS yearlings.

Following days of inspections and shortlisting, this colt was rated right at the top of our very strict shortlist and we are thrilled to have purchased him.

By exciting first season sire NORTH PACIFIC out of the city placed LONHRO mare Maputo Express, this colt will be trained by Magic Millions winning trainer Chris Munce.

He is a lovely moving colt, with an exceptional brain, a great attitude and plenty of strength and power as seen in the photos and videos below.

An impressive physical type that moves with great purpose and natural drive. This colt gives us every inclination that he is sharp enough race at 2 and possesses plenty of scope and substance to continue to improve as he matures into his 3yo season.

Maputo Express, by LONHRO is out of the REDOUTES CHOICE mare ‘Mozambique’ meaning this colt descends from two of the most successful and highly respected broodmare sire lines of this generation.

The NORTH PACIFIC progeny have been incredibly well received at yearling sales over the past few months and as a result have been purchased by many of the leading trainers and buyers in the country. A very impressive type himself, NORTH PACIFIC was an $800,000 yearling and possesses exceptional bloodlines for a stallion of the future.

Competitive at Group level his entire career, NORTH PACIFIC was a city winner at 2 and finished 3rd in the G2 SILVER SLIPPER. He would return an even better 3yo, going on to win the G3 UP AND COMING STKS by 5.3L, he then finished a very narrow 2nd in one of the most notorious stallion making races in Australia, the G1 GOLDEN ROSE among multiple other group race placings.

Eligible for the QTIS racing bonus, this colt will have every opportunity to cash in on the QTIS prizemoney on offer across Qld each week.
