What an absolute ball tearer of a filly this is! It seems strange to have to go all the way to New Zealand to purchase a filly by Victoria’s best stallion however that’s exactly what we’ve done. This filly is as good a Toronado as you’ll see – strong, precocious, athletic and with the most gorgeous head and eye you’ll see. She’s got supermodel looks and a pedigree to match.

While Victoria’s Champion Sire Toronado needs no introduction, this filly comes from an elite female family. Her mum, Joan’s a Jett, is a winning three-quarter sister to Breccia (the dam of Tivaci) and a half-sister to G1 winner Allez Wonder and G3 winner Pretty Pins. While this augers extremely well for our filly’s racetrack potential, the added bonus is that there are numerous well bred fillies in the family being bred up to Australia’s leading stallions, and in time her pedigree will continue to enhance itself.

The first foal out of the mare, a filly by Grunt made $380k at this sale last year and she’s since visited one of NZ’s leading stallions in Per Incanto. If our filly can gallop as her looks suggest she will, she’s going to have significant residual value at the conclusion of her career.

The filly will remain in New Zealand at Hallmark Stud for a six week break prior to flying to Australia and being broken in immediately. She’s strong and forward enough to race as an early two year-old and will be given every chance to do so.
