2024 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale Purchase

Horse Overview

We were thrilled to secure this Zousain colt from the Inglis Classic Sale and he heads to the Kembla Grange stable of Joe Ible. The stallion is described as “a clone of his father Zoustar” and the expectation is that he will follow in the successful footsteps of his father at stud.

Zousain’s first crop of yearlings averaged $119,000 and that average is holding up for his second crop, always a strong indicator that those already in the leading stables are showing ability. We signed for this colt on the 11th of February and from the date the stallion has gone bang at the races with his progeny. Drifting, Chateau Miraval and Dyer have all saluted on debut. Drifting went on to run a brave second in the Listed Furphy Trophy at Flemington.

Zousain is the best son of the champion sire Zoustar. He was a Group 2 winner and a Group 1 winner at 2 before running second in the stallion making Group 1’s , the Coolmore and Golden Rose as a three year old. Zoustar also ran second in the Coolmore and the expectation is that his son will be another winning machine in the breeding barn.

The female family is jam packed with black type winners and this strong and uncomplicated colt is blessed with the physicality to be a chance to race as a two year with the scope to improve as he matures. He is bred on a similar cross to Zoustar himself, Cosmic Endeavour, The Astrologist and this seasons Coolmore winner Ozzmosis who is by Zoustar.

With the best prizemoney in Australia on offer in NSW, he’s also eligible for the lucrative BOBS Bonus too!
