An easy winner as an early three year old in the Listed Rosebud, followed by another dominant win at his next start in the G3 San Domenico, Anders is a son of Not A Single Doubt out of Madame Andree, a daughter of the outcross stallion War Emblem (USA).

Anders’ sire line has responded very well to members of the THONG family. Redoute’s Choice has worked extremely well with mares by ENCOSTA DE LAGO, while Not A Single Doubt has produced G1 winners Mighty Boss out of an Encosta De Lago mare and Kenedna out of a daughter of Falbrav (Fairy King). Broodmare sire representatives of THONG family members SADLER’S WELLS, FAIRY KING and NUREYEV include ENCOSTA DE LAGO (and sons and grandsons such as MANHATTAN RAIN, NEEDS FURTHER, RUBICK, NORTHERN METEOR, DEEP FIELD, SHOOTING TO WIN and ZOUSTAR), FALBRAV, STRAVINSKY, SINGSPIEL, SPINNING WORLD, STARCRAFT, PEINTRE CELEBRE, HIGH CHAPARRAL, SCENIC, CARNEGIE, EL PRADO (and sons ARTIE SCHILLER, KITTEN’S JOY and MEDAGLIA D’ORO), GALILEO and BARATHEA. In addition, Anders’ damsire War Emblem produced Champion 2yo Filly of Japan, Robe Tissage, out of a Singspiel mare.

Not a Single Doubt’s sire Redoute’s Choice and his second damsire Nijinsky II are members of the prepotent TORPENHOW family. Memsie Stakes winner Scales of Justice is by Not A Single Doubt out of a Umatilla mare, while dual G1 winner Shout The Bar carries Last Tycoon. Anders should welcome the presence of other family members in mares such as TRY MY BEST (sire of LAST TYCOON), DOMESDAY, THE MINSTREL (sire of PALACE MUSIC), HURRICANE SKY, XAAR, UMATILLA, MASTERCLASS, NEW REGENT, EL GRAN SENOR, SPINNING WORLD, GIELGUD, FAR NORTH, FREE AMERICA, RULER and DENON.

Not A Single Doubt’s granddam EASY DATE is also dam of SNIPPETS and third dam of ZIZOU. Mares carrying SNIPPETS have worked very well with Redoute’s Choice, an example being the Champion Snitzel. He and Zizou also create desirable line breeding for Anders. Mares carrying or by his sons PINS, SNOWLAND and SNIPPETSON appeal.

Sunday Silence is second damsire of Anders. Sourcing a son of SUNDAY SILENCE to sex balance the daughter here, will create a nice speed pattern. Examples are BUBBLE GUM FELLOW, DEEP IMPACT, FUJI KISEKI, GENUINE, KEEP THE FAITH, TAYASU TSUYOSHI and ZENNO ROB ROY.

Not A Single Doubt’s second damsire Grand Chaudière and The Pruner in War Emblem’s pedigree are SUNSHOT family members.  NEVER BEND, SOLFERINO, KING OF THE TUDORS, SHINKO FOREST, BOLD REASON, BROOKFIELD and WINDSOR LAD add to this line. MILL REEF and RIVERMAN (including their descendants LOUP SAUVAGE, BRIEF TRUCE, RIVOTIOUS and MAROONED) can contribute Never Bend. In addition, LAST TYCOON is out of a Mill Reef mare while STRAIGHT STRIKE is out of a Never Bend mare. Not A Single Doubt’s G1 winner Good Project is by Not A Single Doubt, with Never Bend supplied via Marooned in the mare.

Similarly, using mares carrying Valid Appeal’s son SOUTHERN APPEAL will sex balance Valid Appeal (third damsire of Anders).

Both Redoute’s Choice and Mr Prospector in Anders’ pedigree have had great success with STORM CAT in matings. SHAMARDAL, TALE OF THE CAT, HIGH YIELD, STATUE OF LIBERTY, VAN NISTELROOY, GIANT’S CAUSEWAY, CATRAIL, HENNESSY (and descendants HENNY HUGHES, TURFFONTEIN, JOHANNESBURG, SCAT DADDY and NO NAY NEVER) can be sought in mares.

Anders’ granddam Glamour Stock is inbred to influence Hail To Reason. Increasing the impact of this pattern can be achieved with the addition of his close relation, MEADOWLAKE, damsire of HENNY HUGHES and REAL IMPACT. While the latter’s Southern Hemisphere progeny are only 2020/2021 three year olds, Real Impact’s daughters look an excellent match for Anders. He also sex balances Sunday Silence as well as In Reality in a mating with Anders.

Anders carries ALMAHMOUD family members Danehill, Northern Dancer (3 lines) and Halo.  MACHIAVELLIAN is another descendant, most easily sourced in Australia via his son, STREET CRY (sire of STREET BOSS, STREET SENSE, PER INCANTO etc).
