In recent years, many Japanese horses have ventured to Australia and achieved excellent results.
They provide an excellent opportunity for Australians to get “hands on” with affordable, Japanese-bred horses. These horses are selected by their directors, who have been working as racing managers for numerous Japanese stables, and who know exactly what it takes for a Japanese-bred horse to win in Australian racing.
Rising Sun Syndicate also have a selection of Australian-bred yearlings at affordable prices. They do not simply select their yearlings by their stallion’s name or its strike rate. From their experience of being in the saddle themselves, they have real insight into how these horses feel; this gives them more idea of a stallion’s true potential.
The key members of Rising Sun Syndicate are Kosi Kawakami, Yusuke Ichikawa and Shinya Mori, all of whom have nearly 20 years of experience in the Australian horse racing industry, as jockeys, assistant trainers and racing managers.
Rising Sun Syndicate have developed a great relationship with the proven trainers Aaron Purcell and Matt Cumani, and work very closely with these trainers to provide their horses with the best possible opportunities in their racing career.
Rising Sun Syndicate are the only syndicate with true connections in both the Australian and Japanese racing industries.
