Robbie rode successfully as a jockey before weight issues forced an early retirement but he always knew that his purpose in life was to succeed as a thoroughbred trainer. Robbie’s unshakeable desire to succeed at the highest level as a trainer drove him during a long and sometimes difficult journey to the top of the sport, which has propelled him into the top 10 in the Victorian Trainers’ Premiership on numerous occasions.

Mathew was born into the Racing Industry with his Grandfather a famous South African Jockey, his mother following in those footsteps and his father, Mike de Kock, the leading trainer in South Africa. Mike got involved with Equestrian horses during his time in the Army.
Once Mathew started working for his father, Mike De Kock, Mathew not only gained experience and knowledge from his father but was also lucky enough to experience racing on an international level traveling to Dubai, America, UK, Kong Kong, and more. At only 29 years of age, Mathew has managed to build up more knowledge than some trainers would only dream of.
