Andrew Noblet spent the first part of his career in his native South Australia, alongside legendary trainer, Leon Macdonald. As Leon’s right hand man, he learned all he could from one of the best conditioners of racehorses in the land.
In 2003 “Nobby”, as he is affectionately known in racing circles, went out on his own to pursue his dream. He moved to Victoria and has not looked back since!
During that time Nobby has achieved Group One success with tough mare, Silent Sedition and has prepared 6 placegetters at the top level. Add to that 16 winners and 26 placings in Group and Listed company he has put a resumé together which has made some serious owners take notice of his ability.
But that’s just the first chapter in the Andrew Noblet story. In 2020, he relocated his operation and young family from Caulfield to Ballarat, embarking on the next phase of his career.
Since that move, and up to time of writing, Nobby has saddled up 16 City wins and 15 City placings with a strike-rate any Stable would be envious of.
Ballarat, a Tier One training centre, is a haven for getting horses fit. The all- weather uphill training track is the centre piece of the complex and is complemented by grass training tracks, sand track, synthetic track, swimming pool etc.
Noblet Racing has 30 light and airy boxes on site with 5 day yards. Each horse is attended to with meticulous detail and care, given every chance of achieving their best.
Stephanie Hateley does a fantastic job as 2nd in charge and our team of hard working track riders, ground staff, vets, farriers and float drivers make the place run like the well oiled machine it is. Add to that all the behind the scenes work done by Andrew’s wife Amanda, and the place really has a caring, family vibe about it.

Andrew himself, is lay back and extremely approachable. He has built tremendous relationships with all the Stable’s clients and nothing is ever too hard. Andrew is an excellent judge of yearlings and available to select young horses at the Sales with you or on your behalf.
