Ben Hayes was joined by his younger brother JD in the training partnership in June 21, 2021.
As sons of David and grandsons of Colin Hayes, a new era emerged with the third generation of Hayes family sons taking up the training reins. Well versed in the business and in horsemanship, the two are firmly entrenched to continue the integrity, success and the tradition of Lindsay Park.
Ben has been in the training partnership since 2016 and is based at Euroa. Ben lives on Lindsay Park, whilst also travelling to the Flemington stable to oversee that stable arm run by assistant trainer Dara O’Meachair.
Ben grew up with racing in his sights, living in Hong Kong on Sha Tin racetrack. His international experience extends to travelling with and managing Lindsay Park overseas runners in Japan, Dubai and England. He also gained valuable experience and education working under top UK trainers, Charlie Hills in Lambourn and John Gosden in Newmarket.
Growing up in the business, JD has for the past 7 years worked solidly in the stable, riding track work and learning the ropes, JD is well armed to enter the training game. He brings his own energy and enthusiasm into the new era of Lindsay Park and is well equipped with fresh ideas of the younger generation to continue the tradition with a cutting edge alongside his brother Ben.
