Established in 2007 by the powerful husband and wife combination of Grant and Alana Williams the pair have since stamped the industry by progressing rapidly through the ranks of thoroughbred racing.
The duo have accomplished many major victories together, beginning with training Dreamaway to Group I glory in the 2011 Schweppes Derby. The success continued with many other Group I titles such as Elite Belle in the 2014 Railway Stakes, dual Group I winner Delicacy in the 2015 SA Derby and 2015 Australasian Oaks and Perfect Reflection in the 2015 Kingston Town Classic.
In more recent times Group I success was achieved with super filly Arcadia Queen in the 2018 Kingston Town Classic as well as back to back wins in the Railway Stakes with Galaxy Star in 2018 and Regal Power in 2019 . Grant and Alana pride themselves in providing the highest quality of care to all horses within the stables ensuring the best results are achieved when race day comes.

The husband and wife training partnership of Grant and Alana Williams had its formative years In harness racing and pony club respectively, but the now stable have brought their knowledge, skills and horsemanship to preparing thoroughbreds.
The powerful combination, who are based at a state•of-the•art training centre at Karnup. have progressed rapidly up the ranks of the racing world since the early 2000s when Grant was a fourth generation trainer-driver In the standardbred kassmstar-. industry and Alana (nee Sansom) was a leading Perth jockey. 
Among Alana’s accomplishments in the saddle – she did not come from a racing family – was winning the 2000-01 metropolitan apprentices title In Perth under the tutelage of trainer David Harrison.
As Grant started to mix harness racing and try his hand at training thoroughbreds, the pair met and were later married. They would also formalise their training partnership, which now sees them have 45 horses In work.
For a few years before we met up I was following it pretty closely,” Grant recalls.
“I got my trainers licence before we met up, but it was more or less something on the side. Through opportunities we have got bigger.”
Among those opportunities was leading Perth owner-breeders Bob and Sandra Peters giving the Williams’s horses to train, which have led to a swag of stakes successes from their base including star filly Delicacy (Al Maher) who would go on to win the WA Oaks, the WATC Derby as well as the Group One Schweppes Oaks and South Australian Derby in 2015.
She would also win the 2016 Perth Cup at her final race start before being retired to stud. They have also won Western Australia’s biggest races, the Railway Stakes and the Kingston Town Classic, a feature of the Perth summer carnival.
The pair say the Peters’ support has allowed them to showcase their talents training thoroughbreds, but importantly, stress they have also enjoyed success for other clients including the 2013 Northam Cup with Angel Of Mercy (Hussonet).
Grant says the training partnership works because they bring different elements to the running of the stable.
